Job Description

Syngene International is seeking a skilled SAP FICO Subject Matter Expert to drive financial and controlling processes in a dynamic pharmaceutical research and manufacturing environment. This role demands deep functional expertise to bridge business requirements with SAP solutions.

SAP (FICO) SME

• Department: Essential Functions
• Role: Subject Matter Expert – SAP Finance & Controlling
• Experience: Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP implementations
• Education/Qualification: ICWA (preferred), MBA Finance, or M.Com with relevant industry experience

Skills/Qualifications

• Excellent hands-on experience in SAP FICO modules: GL, AP, AR, AM, Bank Accounting, CO-CEL, CCA, PCA
• Strong expertise in Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, COPA, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Transfer Pricing, Group Valuation
• Proficient in SAP configuration across FICO areas
• Solid understanding of integration with MM, PS, SD, PP modules
• Experience in functional requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, master data setup, and end-user support
• Knowledge of monthly/year-end closing activities
• Familiarity with Report Writer and Report Painter
• Strong finance and controlling process knowledge
• Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on SAP FICO functionality
• Conduct gap-fit analysis between business requirements and SAP capabilities
• Model and configure FICO-related business processes
• Collaborate with project teams on configuration, master data, and interfaces
• Support successful user acceptance testing
• Deliver end-user training and documentation
• Ensure timely completion of project deliverables within scope
