Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Specialist in Case Processing, your core responsibilities will include:
- Performing triage and initial validity assessment of ICSRs (spontaneous, clinical trial, literature, and health authority cases)
- Data entry and case processing in pharmacovigilance (PV) databases
- Conducting initial ICSR assessment and seriousness evaluation
- Assessing expedited reporting requirements and regulatory timelines
- Preparing and reviewing CIOMS I, MedWatch forms, and XML files
- Sending and tracking follow-up queries to reporters
- Submission of ICSRs to Health Authorities and global partners
- Performing quality checks (QC/QA) on safety cases in line with SOPs and regulatory standards
- Conducting ICSR searches and retrievals from EVWEB
- Performing company vs non-company causality assessment
- Mentoring and supporting new joiners to strengthen team capability and compliance
- Ensuring documentation completeness and audit readiness
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related discipline
- Strong experience in pharmacovigilance case processing
- Hands-on knowledge of ICSR workflows, expedited reporting, and global safety regulations
- Experience with EVWEB, Argus, or similar PV databases
- Understanding of ICH-GCP, ICH E2A/E2B, and regulatory timelines
- Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset
- Ability to mentor junior team members and work collaboratively
